M. Mills lesson for 1st lesson

Hey.

Today we had Mr. Mills for 1st lesson on a thursday morning and in this lesson we looked at videos on one of the competitions that our school 'Convent of Jesus and Mary' compete into. This competition is called 'Rock Challenge' and it was recorded in Hackney Empire on the year 2008. This competition was a dance competition and was competing with different schools too.

We looked at this video, so that it can help us think on what to put on our LO 1.2 which is due next friday. As we're watching it, it gave me an idea that pictures of this competition and rewards from this could go to the print advert that I'm going to do for the Year 7s. Also, a sneak peak (pictures or video) on what Rock Challenge is all about could go to the website that I wanted to do for the Internet format of advertising.

By putting this into the adverts can show that students and parents that this is a good school, because we take part on competitions and show that different people with different cultures get together to dance!

I think that 'Rock Challenge' can be a good thing for the advert that I wanted to do for the Year 7s, because it shows that in this dance competition can be an opportunity that different schools could get together and compete, but also to have different people in cultures dance together as a whole community. As the video that we watched showed different types of dance and making this dance might need a help from a person who is in that culture too. Like in an indian dance they did, at the from there is an indian student leading them.

This can be a good thing for the Sixth Forms, because MAYBE you could take part in this type of challenge. Like just helping out the dancers, planning or maybe the choreography too.
